Traceroute Tool

DNS resolution + HTTP latency (not ICMP)

True traceroute uses ICMP/time-to-live and cannot run in a web page. Below: DNS A records from multiple resolvers + HTTPS timing + optional geo for the resolved IP — a rough picture only. Use tracert / mtr on your computer for hop-by-hop routes.

About the Traceroute Tool

A traceroute-style check that resolves a hostname and measures HTTP latency. It does not map ICMP hops.

How to use the Traceroute Tool

  1. Enter the host.
  2. Run the check.
  3. Read the resolved address and the response time.

What to check

Browsers cannot send the ICMP packets a desktop traceroute uses, so this check stays at DNS and HTTP.

Why are the hops missing?

The browser is not allowed to send hop-by-hop ICMP probes. The tool reports the name lookup and the HTTP timing.

Can I test an internal hostname?

Only if this browser can resolve and reach it.
