Here are the top finance stories of the day for August 26<\/h2>\n

Happy hump day.<\/p>\n

It’s been the underlying question for the past few months: Will people ever fully return to the office?\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, one of the biggest players on Wall Street showed its hand. JPMorgan announced employees in its corporate and investment bank will have the ability to work remotely on a part-time basis in a move that is believed to be “more or less permanent,” as first reported by CNBC.<\/p>\n

It’s a big win for anyone hoping to maintain a flexible commuting schedule going forward, as other financial firms might look to JPM as a model to follow. And while there will certainly be those who push for a complete return to the office, it’s seeming more likely those companies will be the exception, not the rule.\u00a0<\/p>\n
